PIANO


The goal of this studio is to develop each student’s musical potential to its fullest through a varied curriculum of repertoire, technique, theory, composition and performance;  to provide a positive and enthusiastic environment for   learning; to teach effective practice, memory and performance skills which will promote independence, self-discipline, self-confidence; and above all encourage a love of music and learning that will last a lifetime.


FORMAT:  30-, 45- or 60 minute lessons are offered.  Students generally receive one individual lesson a week.  Parents are always welcome to observe lessons.  Parents of first year students are encouraged to attend weekly lessons. Three times a year, we meet as a group for an hour session which includes theory games, performance, and a variety of other musical activities.


Students are encouraged to participate in ...

  1. performance events including those offered by this studio, the Reading Music Teachers Association

  2. and Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association. 

  3. accompanying and performance opportunities offered by your school, church or other community organization.
